Happy New Year

Capturing moments of our last day of 2011

I can't believe when we wake up in the morning it will be 2012, and I can't believe Grayson wore shorts on the last day of December. Only in Texas...

HoHoHo

I always feel a little sad after Christmas, once all of the festivities are actually over. I'm glad the hustle and bustle is put to a rest, but I love seeing how the boys act and talk during the holidays. I won't get to hear, "On the farm, there was a chicken, hohohoho..." from Gavyn. His school turned "On the Farm" into a Christmas jingle and he just couldn't figure out how to separate the two songs. So he made up his own, and sang it constantly. I can't use "Santa is watching you, or the Elf on the Shelf will tell Santa..." Also, I love that they are healthy and growing, but I know that next year they will be another year older during the holidays. I say it every year, but I can't believe this year has come and gone already. We had a wonderful Christmas with a lot of crafts, baking, movies, books and lots of love. I actually started putting up our Christmas stuff today, when it's over it's over. The boys were very upset and every time I put something in a storage bin, they took it out. Grayson told me at one point to close my eyes because he was trying to save Christmas. He was stashing all of ornaments in his toy tubs. Man I love my life... especially my wonderful family...

School Christmas Party

Grayson had a real REINDEER at his Christmas party this year, plus a visit from Santa! It was so much fun. We are making reindeer food to sprinkle in the yard tonight. It is very important the reindeer have enough energy to make it to all the boys and girls houses. Apparently, the reindeer love RAISINS! Hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Shrek ICE at The Gaylord

On Thursday, we took the boys to the Gaylord Texan to see the ICE sculptures of Shrek, which were amazing. There was such detail in every sculpture and they were so fun to see. It was freezing in the room, literally, which made it harder to take pictures. Next year, I will definitely wear gloves. There was also Kung Fu Panda tubing, that topped the sculptures in the boys eyes. They couldn't get enough, we finally had to make them stop. We also decorated a Gingerbread House, I will post pictures later.

Thanksgiving
