My Best Friend

Grayson told me the other day that he needed Bubba to play best friends and pretend to take naps. I laughed because in his world, Bubba can only be his best friend for playtime. I guess Gavyn isn't old enough, or something...It was amusing and really cute all at the same time, so I took pictures.

the Elf on the Shelf

If you haven't heard of the Elf on the Shelf, check it out here, and see what's it all about. Grayson and Gavyn love waking up every morning to find the elf's new location. It's a fun family tradition to start, with a little bit of bribery for the holidays. The bribery thing worked the first day with Grayson and not so much anymore. If I even try to tell him the Elf on the Shelf is watching he responds with, "No he's not, he's not in the same room as me and he can't see me." I guess he thinks that makes it okay to torment his little brother.

Everything Grayson does, Gavyn does... So when Grayson finished with the trucks, Gavyn took his turn. It was all good until he realized he might not want to play anymore but wasn't ready to really stop, so he tried to force a cry and I totally caught him. It was the a pretty horrible attempt to a tantrum, but it made me laugh. I love kids...

The Trains at "NorthPark"

Last year we took Grayson to see the trains at NorthPark Mall during Christmas time, and he loved it! He had so much fun, we decided to go back this year. Gavyn had fun this year too. However, I think he was more interested in the girls. Every time he got a chance, he would nudge his way between a group of little girls that were there together. We just so happen to love the Santa there too. Grayson was really into telling him what he wanted, however Gavyn couldn't even get anything out. He literally got so mad as soon as I set him in Santa's lap, he went to an immediate silent scream. You know the kind where babies can't even catch there breath and you have to remind them to breathe. Yep that's it! Santa quickly said, "Here Mom!" Maybe next year Gavyn will feel better about the whole Santa thing!

The Ranch

Here are some of the photos from the ranch on Thanksgiving weekend. The boys love to explore outside and Marc gets to hunt. We love to go and would go more often if we weren't so far. Marc got a buck and Grayson enjoyed helping him load it in the truck and watching him clean it. Although, Grayson told Marc "The deer has nasty green beans in his stomach." He was talking about the intestines. He also told Marc, "Daddy you really need to take a shower tonight" after seeing him clean the deer. Kids are pretty funny with their imaginations...
